Ingredients
You will need the following ingredients to make this peanut butter Rice Krispie treat:

Ingredient Notes:
- I like to use Kellogg's Rice Krispie Cereal for this recipe. It is gluten-free and I think tastes the best.
- For the peanut butter you want to use one that is creamy and not crunchy. The peanut butter also needs to be a version that isn't natural or that does not separate in the jar when stored. I tend to grab Jiff Natural Peanut Butter for this recipes. I use the same peanut butter in our Crunchy Peanut Butter Buckeye Recipe.
See the recipe card for quantities.
Additions & Substitutions
Additions:
- Fun toppings: You can easily vary and adjust these Rice Krispie treats by topping the chocolate with butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips, chopped Reece's Peanut Butter Cups, Reece's pieces, flaky sea salt, sprinkles, or white chocolate chips.
- Try using Cocoa Krispies for an all-chocolate base and more chocolate flavor.
Substitutions:
- You can substitute the peanut butter for almond butter to vary the flavor when you want to.
