Hi! Welcome to the Sunday Thymes where we share fun finds, new recipes, and what has been going on in our home for the past week. I am sharing recipes that I love to eat in the summer. Make these recipes before fall comes in full force and you cannot get fresh fruit!
This past weekend I traveled to visit friends (picture below) and on our way back from a sunflower farm we stopped at a local farm stand. My friend bought these gorgeous peaches which she is planning on canning.

She sent me home with some that she had already prepared. Winter can't come fast enough so I can pull the jar out and enjoy them in the winter with some vanilla ice cream!

What's Happening
This past weekend I flew out to New Jersey and spent the weekend with some of my besties. We met almost fifteen years ago when we were working for a division of Dove Chocolate.
We excelled at what we were doing and ended our employment with Dove at the top of the company, becoming each other's best friends and mentors. I love them sooo much. We are already planning on the next get-together.
While we didn't do a lot over the weekend, the laughter flowed and the talk never stopped. We did go to the local farmers market and on Sunday we went to a sunflower farm where we also picked blackberries. They were yummy!
I'm currently traveling to Colorado where I will be staying for the next two weeks. I will try to get a Sunday Thymes out but please don't hold me to it. The mountains are my absolute favorite place and I am hoping for some downtime.
I am currently reading "He Gets That From Me" by Jaqueline Friendland. It's our book club read. Have you read it? I would love to know your thoughts.
Construction Update
We are starting construction, just after Labor Day, on three bathrooms and the primary bedroom. I'm tired of picking out everything that is needed for each room and making decisions. I can't wait to show you the before and after photos as we progress through.
We will be in Colorado for most of the kids bathroom renovation. I can't wait to see what it will look like when we return!

Links And Products I Am Loving
- I once almost sliced off a portion of my thumb using a mandoline. The nerves in that part of my finger still haven't completely grown back and it's partially numb. That's why, when I saw this new safe slicing mandoline I decided to get one in pink. I had to be cute, right?
- When our children were small I was always cued in to what they were saying. So, when I saw this article about what parents should never ignore I thought it would be a good share for you.
- I just ordered these Mez Foodcandy bars. They look interesting. I will let you know.
- Since we are starting construction next week, this list of needless stress was perfect.
- We love to go to Farmers Markets everywhere we travel. I found a great guide that will help you find one everywhere in the USA.
- Are you a Reece's PB Cup fan? Have you tried this new one? I actually love the Unreal PB Cups and keep these on hand for a quick treat, especially on stressful days when I need chocolate!
