Happy prep time for Thanksgiving!
What's Happening
It was a pretty quiet week around here, which honestly felt nice. One of the dogs had a vet appointment so that took center stage for a day. I also worked with a dog trainer this week, and let's just say the dogs caught on faster than I did.
I did slip out to see another influencer's cooking demo, which was a fun change of pace and gave me a few new ideas. It's always good to step out of my own kitchen and watch someone else do the cooking for a bit. I'm glad I went. She was sweet and her presentation was a lot of fun. I hope to reconnect with her again in the future.
My focus now is shifting to Thanksgiving. I'm making lists, double-checking what I already have, and trying to stay one step ahead before things get busy. A calm week was exactly what I needed before the holiday whirlwind hits. Cooking starts on Monday, but the turkey began defrosting today.
We are having my daughter-in-law's family for Thanksgiving and one of my girlfriends. It is a fun time and the kids appreciate that they don't have to divide and conquer two families for a holiday. I am making everything for the main meal and my daughter's Mom is bringing the app's and desserts.

I have two new recipes for you and some updated gems this week. Enjoy!

Links And Products I Am Loving
It's close to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I'm starting to compile my lists. Here are a few items I am looking for but I promise I will have more next week:
- I just bought two of these baskets for my office! I always need space to store "stuff". I also bought this blanket for hubby's office. I also couldn't resist this playset for my great niece along with this play tent!
- We are a huge puzzle family. I bought this puzzle for one of my daughters.
- Every year for the holidays I buy candles for my boys. Their favorite are the Frazier Fir candles. I just bought them for the holidays. It's a tradition, but did you see this Levain cookie candle?
- I have a lot of serving pieces from Swiddles, Inc. She is a friend of mine and her business has really taken off. You can customize the look and the color that is on your pieces.
- Here's a trick to remove those pesky red wine stains from your Thanksgiving meal.
- I am signed up for a cooking class at Sur La Table in the next couple of weeks. They have fun classes both in person and online. It's always good to increase knowledge, right? I am also taking a knife skills class this weekend. I will report back!
- Look at this gorgeous menorah! I like collecting unusual pieces and this fits the bill.
