Yes, tulips are my favorite flower! It's the end of the season and I'm trying to enjoy them when I can. Our peonies are blooming and gorgeous so I'm taking in flowers everywhere I can find them.
What's Happening
The cicadas are so noisy around us. Last week I shared a quick pick of one of my trees. We haven't been eating outside in the yard because it's just become a bit much. I'm afraid one will land on my food!
For those of you that have asked, I'm feeling a bit better. I went to my ENT and I'm on a long dose of Prednisone to get rid of the cough. I'm not sick but the cough has been relentless since my cold back in April.
Does Prednisone bother you? I'm feeling a bit manic on this dose. While it's good for recipe testing (I tested 7 recipes last week), it's hard to concentrate and write which is why I haven't had a ton of recipes these past few weeks.

We have been planning a few vacations for this summer. We aren't going abroad this year as we are going to be going through some construction; however, we have decided on a few driving trips. The first one will be to Nashville, through Lexington and Louisville. If you have any rec's I would love them!
I took this little guy back to the vet this week and he is still free from his cancer scare back in January.

- It's summer and I love having large ice cubes for drinks as much as I loved crushed ice.
