What's Happening

We went to see Lady A perform last weekend as part of a 12-city Christmas tour. They were playing at a small venue near our home. We had a nice evening listening to wonderful music! The next morning we went to an indoor farmers market. I found out that they hold the market every week so we are very excited!

Hanukkah started last weekend as well. We have been lighting the candles, and two of our kids came over for dinner last night so we could enjoy their company and exchange gifts.

Our son, who lives in Berlin, flew to NYC and spent the week with his brother. They skated at Rockefeller Center, went to fun dinners, and enjoyed being together. He left on Thursday and flew to Guatemala for a close friend's wedding. Yesterday he hiked a volcano!

His next stop will be to spend a couple of days with his cousin and her fiance who are also, by fate, down in Guatemala for fun. He is excited to see them before he heads back to Chicago to spend a few weeks with us.

Walt, our newest rescue, was diagnosed with doggie pneumonia. I never knew a dog could get this virus, did you? He's under the weather and tired but doing well. We are isolating him from other dogs but he is fine being around us and Poppy.

I am taking the week off next Sunday! See you in the New Year.
