What's Happening
These were the best blackberries! I bought them at the Farmer's Market over the weekend! We ate them on our ride back to the house and I am drooling over getting more the next time!
Summer is in full swing, isn't it? I love finally being able to sit outside on our patio and enjoy the sun and warmth. We had to wait until the cicadas were gone and boy am I glad that they are!
My dogs were hilarious this week. They really didn't want me to spend any time at my desk. Yesterday Poppy was crying in her dog bed, which is next to my desk, so I took my computer out to the backyard thinking that she may just want to explore and chase squirrels. Instead she and Same plopped down, I call it "splooting", and enjoyed the sunshine while I worked. It lasted about an hour, lol.

I am seeing all of the Back-To-School stuff in the stores, and it feels like it's only the middle of the summer. I know the kids in our neighborhood only have a couple of weeks left before school starts.
We are headed to NYC next week to visit with the kids. Our youngest is flying in from Berlin to go to a wedding and the four of us who live in Chicago are all heading out East to spend time together with the other three. It will be a fun time!
