It's Sunday and that means it's time for a NEW Sunday Thymes! Today, we are sharing what's new on the blog, some fun finds, and what we've been up to! Please leave a comment if you have any questions or just want to say hi, we love hearing from you.

We headed back to one of our favorite places yesterday! Sunshine here we come.....
What's Happening
This week has been busy, quiet, and stressful. Can you have all three at the same time?
Last Monday our kids flew back from their vacay and picked up their dog, Jax, that we were playing with all weekend. We celebrated Hubby's early birthday with them by going out for dinner and spending some quality time together.
Construction, or at least our contractor, has finished working on the house. Monday was his last day, and we are soooo excited to have our home back. I spent most of the week putting away everything that we took out of each room. Hubby had some minor surgery last week, and since he still has stitches, the heavy lifting was all on my shoulders. I'm still tired and my body is still sore, lol, from lifting heavy books and more. The rooms look great and my office is beyond nice! I still have work to do with the bookshelves (decorating) but this picture says it all.
We headed to Hawaii again for a couple of weeks. It's one of our favorite spots and it's a nice break from Chicago. We actually leave some clothes and other things out there so that we don't have to bring as much when we go. This will be our last trip, we think, until next year. There is a possibility that we may go back to NYC in late November but that hasn't been set yet.
I have been working ahead and filming recipes, knowing that I can't do that out in Hawaii. I will still have new recipes being added to the site as I find time to write them up over the next two weeks.

Recipes
This week I have one new recipe for you! Caponata. This is the Sicilian version that includes eggplant, raisins, celery, and capers. You can swap out any of these ingredients, except the eggplant, if you don't care for them. It's the base ingredient!
It is soup season!!! All of these soups are delicious this time of year. My favorites are the Lentil Soup and my Grandma's Chicken Soup!

Links And Products I Am Loving
- I love having a latte in the morning and based on this article, it may be helping to protect against alzheimers! I like using macadamia nut milk along with nutpods creamer and half and half. It's super delicious! I bought an espresso maker years ago and love it. It also makes the best coffee. While they don't make the one I currently have, this one is close.
- How cute is this purse and this pink one as well?
- Consumers Report came out with an article this week about lead in protein powders. While I don't use them daily, I am always concerned about the food that I consume which is why I eat organic and look for quality ingredients. The protein powder that I do use is based on beef and not whey. I am slightly dairy-intolerant and I would rather get my protein from a source that is "true" protein...beef. I use Equip and I love mixing the chocolate with the peanut butter!
- These pants are not only on sale but I am going to get them! They look super comfy! I plan on pairing it with this top that is also on sale.
- Okay I had a laugh at this one. What do your dreams mean. I don't know about you but I remember my dreams. I dream in color. I have some interesting dreams, just ask Hubby! How about you?
- I am in the market for cute waterproof/weatherproof boots. I have these in my cart to try.
- It's the season! A cute pumpkin candle, Halloween spatulas, and these Halloween slippers!
