It's Sunday and that means it's time for a NEW Sunday Thymes! Today, we are sharing what's new on the blog, some fun finds, and what we've been up to! Please leave a comment if you have any questions or just want to say hi, we love hearing from you.

What a way to start our weekend.....
What's Happening
We got a panicked call from our Chicago kids late on Thursday night. They were boarding a plane and their dog sitter wasn't communicating and hadn't shown up to pick up Jax. We started heading downtown to pick up the dog, a 45 minute ride, and finally the sitter texted.
Her phone had died and then her dog got bit while she was walking in the park and she had to take him to the emergency vet. Our son didn't fault her for her dog getting bit but the lack of communication and letting her phone die really upset him.
At this point, they were already in the air flying to their destination, and we ended up continuing the ride downtown and grabbing Jax. He will be with us until Monday.
So why am I tired? While Jax is only 14 pounds, their dog is a battery that won't turn off. He is a full terrier and has all of the terrier energy and anxiety. The tail never stops wagging, lol.
Jax likes to sleep in bed with us (unlike our dogs who are crated), but he sleeps on us, not at the end of the bed. He likes to continue the tail wagging and lick our faces in the middle of the night if we dare to move an inch. You get the picture????
While I was hoping to use the weekend to get ahead with recipes, having Jax around makes that impossible. We did get to the farmers market as usual and we did have a couple of dinners with friends this week.
I have two new recipes to share with you. A shrimp dish that is a fast weeknight meal, and a chicken dish that is a one-pan dinner. I hope you enjoy them!
