It's almost Independence Day here in the US! I absolutely love the 4th of July! Our neighborhood really goes all out, making it such a fun family day. What are your plans?
Has it been hot where you are? Yesterday felt "cool" at 89°, after a stretch of mid to high 90s for the past 10-15 days, and it's been super rainy too! We'll get a brief break tomorrow, but then the heat will be back.
In today's newsletter, I'm sharing sparkling recipes perfect for the 4th, along with the usual: What's Happening, Finds and Fun Things, and more!

What's Happening
This past week found us at another farmer's market that we hadn't yet gone to. More below when I share some fun things I found.
We also went to an Artisan market that our town held last weekend. I found a few new things there as well!
Plus, we went to a Night Market this past week as well! We love hitting up and finding new vendors!
I spent way too much time on the house this past week. On Tuesday our bathroom toilet decided to start acting up. After a $350 plumbing bill, we decided to add the powder room to our construction list since the room hadn't been updated in almost 20 years. It had a good run.
That meant I spent another day picking out faucets, toilets, and fixtures this past week. While it is fun, it is super tiring and my head is spinning in twelve directions. I did get the hallway bathroom mostly done but the primary and powder rooms are still a work in progress. We won't start any construction until mid-August at the earliest but some things need to be ordered in advance.
I'm totally excited for to order a rain head for the primary shower. Hubby wants to add some body sprays as well so it will be a fun once it's done!
Sam, our furry older dog, developed a UTI. We had been keeping a close eye on him the last couple of weeks and we finally were able to figure out what was going on. I was able to get him to the vet and he's on an antibiotic.

Other Fun Finds Or Links I Am Loving
- The secret to a quick-witted comeback....boy do I need this!
- How to tip...are you seeing tips being added at fast food counters these days? Do you tip?
- My friends ask me all the time where I find eggs that are such a bright orange in the center. I have been buying fresh eggs off the farm for years. They are higher in vitamins and last a lot longer than grocery store eggs. You can keep fresh eggs in the refrigerator for up to 10 weeks or on the counter at room temperature for six weeks. While I can get them at my farmers market, and have in past years, I am no buying my eggs from The Fresh Egg Co. I highly recommend them and I only get eggs when I need them which isn't every month.
- Umland's Crunchy Cheese - I'm obsessed. The gouda flavor is my favorite! I found these at the Night Market a few years ago and I buy them when I see them. You can find them in some grocery stores but you can also order them online.
- Can we talk garlic? I found this company at the Artisan Market. I bought the smoked onion and garlic spread as well as the garlic butter for our steaks.
