What a week.....
What's Happening
Let's just start off with saying......raccoons. If you have been on my email blast for over two years then you will know that we had them in our yard once before.
Two years ago they were brazen enough to come right up to our sunroom door! While they look cute, we all know the diseases that they carry and how destructive they can be.
A few days ago, I was sitting on the patio watching the dogs in the backyard when I spotted one sitting on our fence. While the dogs had been alerting for weeks that something strange had been in the yard, I laughed it off to opossums, squirrels or rabbits, which we have nightly.
Well, I was wrong. We set out traps on Thursday night and caught two of them. On Friday, our critter guy took them to a forest and re-homed them.
On a positive note, we were also blessed to have one of our sons, who lives in NY, home for a night. He flew in for work this week and spent Thursday night with us before flying out to D.C. for a wedding this weekend.
Hubby and I went to our great-niece's first birthday party! It was fun to watch her smash the cake and eat it!
