What's Happening
This week has been super busy. We celebrate Passover which began at sundown on Saturday night. Our house has been a busy week of cleaning, prepping, cooking, setting the table, and more cleaning all week.
We had 14 people over for the Seder and had a lot of fun. Of the 14, two are children and there is nothing better than seeing the Seder come to life through their eyes! Our NYC kids came home for the weekend making it all the better.
I ended up prepping and making close to 12 dishes. Some were for the Seder itself and the rest for dinner. Our family tradition is serving both brisket and salmon. I tried two new recipes this year. The jury is out on the brisket but the salmon is a keeper and one that I may put on the website later this year.
I made the Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake along with the Asparagus Salad With Lemon And Herbs. The Vegetable Kugel was also a hit and new to the family this year. I tried a new recipe from scratch by making the "famous" Dubai chocolate (pistachio paste and a sweetened matzo center covered in rich dark chocolate) but presenting it in bar form. I will post a recipe next week when I recover!
