We were lucky enough to have some warmer weather this week. It felt like summer. We went to our last farmer's market of the season as well. That makes me sad!
What's Happening
I am writing this Sunday's post a bit earlier than normal as I am currently heading out East for my cousins funeral. My family is pretty close, especially the girl cousins.
Each year the girl cousins gather at my Aunt's home in Detroit (she's turning 100 years old next summer!) and we spend some quality time together. I am the youngest of my 1st cousins and just about in the middle of my 2nd cousins.
Susan, my cousin who passed, acted as a Grandma to my other cousins kids, even though they were not her own. We will be celebrating her life and gathering together as a family to support her two children.
Construction is finally moving along. Most of the tiling is done and the cabinets were placed into the bathroom this week. We also placed the vanity into the powder room. The rooms have been primed and they have measured for countertops. We have about 2-3 weeks left in this craziness!
An update on Sam, my 14 year old dog. He's doing a bit better but has been slow to come out of the anesthesia and drugs they gave him just to examine his gums. He hasn't fully bounced back but we are getting there.
The kids are coming back into town this weekend and I'm really sorry that I won't be able to really spend much time with them. We are planning a trip to NYC in December so that is some consolation.

Links And Products I Am Loving
- This is one of the best Halloween costumes I have seen!
- Oprah's Favorite Things 2024 Are Here!
- A new favorite app: With so many streaming services I never know where I can watch what I want to see. Download this app, enter the title of what you want to see, and it will tell you where. Finally, a digital TV Guide!
- These socks are my new favorite socks! Perfect with your gym shoes and light enough for running. I think I own them in 6 colors!
- I know I have talked about these before, but these containers are my go-to containers in our house. I have the glass ones, which I like better than the plastic ones.
- This dish drying pad is amazing! It just replaced my old cotton one.
- These makeup remover wipes are amazing. I'm allergic to fragrance and these are so gentle. I use them nightly!
- Speaking of makeup and all things beauty. I am a huge proponent of using clean skin care and makeup. Not only because I am allergic to everything, but mainly because anything you use on your skin gets makes it's way into your body and stays there. Beautycounter was/is my company of choice. This past year there was a bit of turmoil and the company shut down. They are in the process of re-opening next year but opened a small window for purchasing this holiday season. I am giving you my link to shop, as you need a link to get into the website. They have amazing body care gifts for the season! I highly recommend them!
