I'm back from Montana!
What's Happening
I got back from Montana on Sunday evening. What a whirlwind weekend.
I was out there at a friend's house with a group of gals that I am in a Mastermind group with. We spent the weekend working on our business plans, helping in areas of our strengths, and cementing friendships.
On Saturday evening, we had the opportunity to cover the Whitefish Food And Wine Festival as content creators. The food was delicious, Todd English was the headliner, and the setting was gorgeous.
It wasn't as large a festival as we had thought it would be, but it was still fun nevertheless. On Sunday, most of the gals left in the morning but I stayed until the late afternoon. I had the opportunity to help one of my friends get ready for her kitchen inspection. She has the best vanilla, OMG. You should try it out! I brought home some vanilla sugar, which I am working on creating a recipe for you that will be shared later this year.
We are still under construction. I'm a bit tired of it all and so are the dogs. I'm hoping we will get a room or two back in operation this coming week. I'm also hoping to have an office again prior to Yom Kippur so I can entertain in the sunroom, where I am currently stationed during the day.

Recipes
I am finishing up all of the late summer produce and tomatoes are at the forefront of what I have been using to create recipes for you. This tomato confit is super simple. I use it as an appetizer with crackers, a pasta sauce over noodles, or spread on toast with avocado mashed on top.
I made the Gnocchi Caprese Salad for lunch this week. Again, it's simple to prepare and is a nice salad for a crowd! These other salads are favorites I make all summer long. Enjoy!
