What's Happening

Yes, construction has begun. We finished moving out of the bedrooms, which wasn't an easy feat, and relocated our offices to our sunroom (me) and the basement (hubby). I know that I got the better deal, lol, since I have sunlight all day, but I take care of the dogs and when they are home it's easier for me to be with them if I am upstairs.

I used the basement as an office for over 20 years. While it is set up as an office, it's not ideal. Once the kids moved mostly out of the house, I decided I wanted to see the outside world and I took over one of the kids bedrooms.

The room isn't wonderful when I am on Zoom, as the walls are painted gold. Besides new carpeting, I am also getting new paint, blinds, and adding to the furniture. My new chair will be a beautiful blue! I will post pictures as it's happening.

We are also doing the same for Hubby's office/guest room. It's being updated. I decided to replace all of the door hardware and door frames, which have some issues. Our dining room mirrored wall is also coming down and being updated. I can't wait!

Labor day was quiet. We came back from Colorado and relaxed on Sunday and Monday. The kids came out for dinner on Monday night. Our niece got engaged over the weekend as well. We are beyond excited!
