Quiet weeks make for lots of recipe testing!
What's Happening
I am in work mode before we head to Colorado in a week! I can't wait to see the kids and watch them ski. We gave up skiing a few years ago in an attempt to save our bodies, lol.
That said, this week was really quiet. Poppy had a session with her trainer. Yes, at age six I am still taking her to a trainer! She needs to work and loves trying to figure things out. It's a trait of Tibetan Terriers.
Speaking of dogs, we are considering rescuing another TT about the same age as Poppy. Why? Because the perfect dog is available and he is about Poppy's age. We think she could benefit from another dog being around.
Hubby went to a baseball card show this weekend. He and one of my sons have been collecting cards forever. Do you collect anything????
Links And Products I Am Loving
- I take vitamins daily, especially in the winter when I know I am low in vitamin D. My current favorites right now are from Mind, Body, Green. I love their multi-vitamins and D!
- I found a new company, Bona Furtuna, that has imported items from Italy! I have 4 of their amazing seasonings that I received when I was at the Fancy Food Show. I have been playing around with the Lemon Salt and the Truffle Salt. They are both wonderful. The Lemon Salt was amazing on grilled and roasted fish!
- Speaking of salt, I do not use regular salt from the grocery store. I either buy salt when I am Hawaii or I use Redmond Life. My favorite salt I have on hand and use daily is their Kosher Salt. They also sent me individual shakers of salt that I am taking with me on the road when traveling! I also am testing a few of their seasonings and I'm loving everything that I am using!
- A few months ago I talked about this brown sugar saver that helps keep your brown sugar soft. I told you that I would report back. I am beyond happy to say that it really works. I have been recipe testing desserts these past few weeks and the brown sugar is super soft even though it has been open for at least a month or more.
